Tracking storms and severe weather with radar and app from KJRH Channel 2 Works for You

TULSA - 2 Works for You meteorologists are forecasting severe weather this weekend throughout the entire state of Oklahoma.

The greatest risk for severe weather comes Saturday, when tornadoes, baseball-sized hail, winds of up to 70 mph and heavy rains are predicted, that's according to the National Weather Service.

Are you prepared? Download our Interactive Weather Center app and you'll be connected wherever you are.

"I am glad I have it," said Grove resident Cheno Kennedy. "If you don't have warning it's coming, it has you before you even know it's there."

Kennedy had our app on her iPhone while she visited Branson, Missouri in late February.

She told 2News our app kept her informed of the storm that spawned a tornado and left a trail of destruction in the popular tourist community.

The app features up-to-the-minute interactive radar, current conditions, severe weather alerts, watches and warnings, plus the latest news headlines, school closings and weather forecasts from Chief Meteorologist Dan Threlkeld and the 2 Works for You Weather team at KJRH.
