Kansas plane crash victim's fiancee hopes his death inspires others

Rachel Fouts spent last week with Garrett Coble. They planted flowers and hung pictures in the new home the couple bought just three weeks ago.

The couple, engaged in February, planned to marry in December.

Garrett died Friday when the plane on which he and four others were riding crashed in Kansas.

He was a professor at Northeastern State University in Broken Arrow, but Rachel says his calling was spreading God's message.

2News Reporter Erin Christy spoke with Rachel about the man for whom she held so much love.

"And he loved people and missions. He just loved," Rachel said. "He was such a good man -- he's a good man to the core."

She says she wants Garrett's death to inspire others and intends to live her life the way he would want her to.

Rachel plans on returning to school and traveling to an orphanage Garrett visited 25 times.
