Tahlequah residents dead in Wagoner, Cherokee County wrecks

TULSA - Two Tahlelquah residents were killed in separate accidents on Saturday.

Troopers say 32-year-old Misty Rogers was killed when her vehicle hit a tree around 5:45 p.m. on State Highway 82B near Highway 10 in Cherokee County.

Rogers died at the scene.

Two 10-year-old passengers were treated at an area hospital for minor injuries.

The cause of the collision is under investigation.

Troopers say a 27-year-old man was killed when his motorcycle crossed the center line and hit an oncoming van around 7:30 p.m. in Wagoner County.

Investigators say the rider, Brandon Bushong, was pronounced dead at the scene.

The 60-year-old driver of the van and her 5-year-old passenger were treated and released at an area hospital.

Troopers believe Bushong had been drinking.
