66-year-old man killed in Tahlequah house fire

TAHLEQUAH, Okla. - A 66-year-old Tahlequah man was killed in a house fire around 8:45 p.m. Saturday.

Firefighters say half the home was fully involved when they arrived on the scene on West 782 Road.

Crews were able to contain the flames and make entry into the home.

Tahlequah Fire Chief Ray Hammons said firefighters found 66-year-old Billy Robinson in the home.

Robinson was pronounced dead at the scene.

Hammons said the fire started in the kitchen.

The fire is being investigated by the state fire marshal.
