TULSA - Twenty-two-year-olds Mica Shoate and Jazmin Williams appeared by video conference Monday during their first court appearance.
Neither one said a word.
Shoate and Williams were arrested for the murder of 19-month-old Zamontay Green.
Green was found dead in the backseat of the women's car when an officer pulled them over during a routine traffic stop Sunday near 65th and Lewis. They were said to be driving extremely slow.
The officer performed CPR when he found Green not breathing.
When paramedics arrived, they pronounced him dead on the scene.
Police say autopsy results showed the toddler died of blunt force trauma to the head. He also had extensive bruises on the rest of his body.
Shoate and Williams are scheduled for formal arraignment April 3.
They are each being held in the Tulsa County Jail on $1 million bond.
