Suspects in Tahlequah double murder formally charged

TAHLEQUAH, Okla. - A married couple has been formally charged for a Tahlequah double murder.

Three charges of first-degree murder and robbery with a dangerous weapon were filed against Tracy Redford, 46, and Jessie Redford, 42, Monday.

Jessie Catron and Angela Findlay, Jessie Redford's sister, were found dead in Findlay's residence in August. Their bodies were found to have suffered "significant blunt force trauma and lacerations to the head and face areas," according to a probable cause affidavit.

Catron also sustained injuries to his abdomen.

Tracy and Jessie Redford were arrested on other charges a day later. The affidavit states Jessie Redford told Creek County detention officers she killed her sister three days after the murders.
