TULSA - A suspect rolled his vehicle in a high speed chase with police Friday night in northeast Tulsa and was subsequently arrested and held on several charges.

Tulsa police officers say Jose Gomez Jr., 36, was booked on eluding police, being in possession of a gun after former conviction of a felony, resisting arrest and interfering with a police officer, among other charges.

The incident happened around 10:30 p.m. when police tried to make a traffic stop on Gomez.  According to authorities the suspect had several outstanding warrants and is wanted in multiple counties and states.

During the chase, Gomez crashed into another vehicle in the intersection in the 7300 block of E. Admiral, police say. The vehicle then rolled on its side into the Payless Shoe parking lot in the area.

Officers say Gomez tried to crawl out of the back of the vehicle and escape on foot, but he was tazed and then arrested.
