TULSA – It’s been five years since the massive snow storm of 2011 and five years since Tulsa police found a wounded man in a driveway … but now, they say, they have filed charges against a suspect.

After several years of investigating, the Tulsa County District Attorney's Office says they have acquired enough evidence to arrest and file charges against Lafayette Wilson on complaint of first degree murder in the 2011 death of Martin Caleb.

On January 31, 2011, Tulsa police were called to the 1500th block of North Florence Place to investigate reports of shots fired. When they arrived, they say, Martin Caleb was discovered in a driveway. He later died on February 1, 2011 from gunshot wounds.

Because of the extreme wintry weather, Tulsa police says, it was difficult to complete the investigation the night they found Caleb. At the time, the main clue was that Caleb’s truck had been stolen and robbery appeared to be a motive.

A truck matching the description was later discovered by the Roger’s County Sheriff’s Office in Owasso on February 5, 2011, says police.

Wilson is currently in federal custody and waiting to be transported back to Tulsa for further investigation.
