TULSA, Okla. - State legislators are holding a press conference Monday morning to address "hate mail" and negativity they claim they've received for their support of the Terence Crutcher Scholarship Foundation.

Senator Kevin Matthews and Representative Regina Goodwin recently signed a citation to honor Terence Crutcher, who was shot and killed last September by a Tulsa Police Officer.

They are open about their support of the scholarship started in his name that'll help Crutcher's surviving children. However, some people don't agree with the message this sends.

Sheriff Scott Walton of Rogers County said that Crutcher's life shouldn't be honored by the state, especially when he was found with PCP in his system.

The press conference will be held at Morning Star Baptist Church located at 1014 E. Pine Street at 10 a.m.
