ADAIR, Okla. - Three teenage girls badly hurt during a collision with a school bus in Adair Wednesday will each need surgery.
The girls, two of which police confirmed are sophomores at Adair High School, were ejected from the red Jeep Cherokee they were traveling in when they smashed into the Adair Public Schools bus.
The accident occurred on Highway 28 and North 429 Road around 4:15 p.m. not long after the bus dropped off its final student.
Emergency crews quickly converged on the scene, and Life Flighted two of the teens to local hospitals. The other was taken by ambulance.
The driver of the school bus was not injured.
