Sapulpa woman arrested after firefighters determine house fire was intentionally started

SAPULPA, Okla. - A Sapulpa woman is in custody who is believed to have intentionally set fire to a home Sunday night.

Sapulpa firefighters responded to the home near Mission and Taft Avenue just before midnight.

Fire investigators say the house was heavily damaged by smoke but no one was hurt.

Crews worked for several hours collecting evidence. 

Neighbors reported seeing a young woman running from the house as it burned.  A suspect matching neighbors' descriptions was picked up about six blocks from the home.

Tamanda Billings, arrested for second-degree arson, was dating the home's owner.
