SAND SPRINGS, Okla. - Hundreds of volunteers joined forces in the Sand Springs community to build a new playground in one day.
The playground's design is based on drawings created by children who participated in a design day event in May.
The project is part of Kaboom and Let's Play, a community partnership that gets kids and families active nationwide.
2News got video of the playground being built today.
The "Let's Play" initiative is a $15 million, three-year commitment to build or improve 2,000 playgrounds by the end of 2013.
It's goal is to benefit an estimated five million children across the country.
