Rogers County Sheriff's Office hopes Facebook leads to pot arrest

OOLOGAH, Okla. - Rogers County Sheriff Scott Walton is hoping a Facebook post will lead them to whoever left a large bag of marijuana on an Oologah road.

The office's tactic of choice?

Humor.

The post, found on the Rogers County Sheriff's Office Facebook page, has already received hundreds of comments, nearly 1,500 likes and more than 900 shares in less than 24 hours.

A picture of a trash bag full of marijuana was also attached (http://bit.ly/RCSOFacebook).

Walton said his office is still investigating.

"We're always so amazed by the wisdom of these thugs," he said. "Who leaves their bag of marijuana behind? Maybe they got scared off. I really don't know."

Anyone with information is urged to call the Rogers County Crime Tip Hotline at (918) 341-3620.
