Reward for arsonist linked to Porter fire raised to $12,000

PORTER, Okla- The $10,000 reward posted for the arrest and conviction of arson suspect(s) in the fire that burned down a house in Porter, Okla. has been raised to $12,000.

The Jenkins family came home May 20 to find their home victim to a fire. Sheriff Bob Colbert and Oklahoma State Fire Marshal gathered investigators to determine the cause of the fire which they deduced be arson.

Officials suspected foul play after they found two dogs and a horse shot on the property.

The reward for the suspected arson was originally posted at $10,000 but has been increased to $12,000. The Farm Bureau has elected to invest $5,000 and the additional $7,000 is from an anonymous donor.

The Jenkins family were also given another gift from a stranger. The family received a reading machine from a stranger after theirs was destroyed in the fire.
