TULSA - Power has been restored to the nearly 14,000 customers who experienced power outages in Tulsa and Wagoner counties, Public Service Company of Oklahoma officials say.
A substation at 81st Street and South Garnett went down after a lightning arrester failed around 3:30 a.m., PSO spokesman Stan May said.
Soon after, the substation at 121st and Lynn Lane in Broken Arrow also went down, May said.
At the height of the outage more than 14,000 customers in Tulsa, Broken Arrow and Coweta were without power.
Power was restored to all customers around 5:15 a.m., May said.
