CLEVELAND, Okla. -- Police are sharing new details about a suspicious fire that destroyed the town's lone pharmacy Monday.

Police Chief Clint Stout said that someone broke into the Palace Drug Store and stole hundreds, if not thousands, of painkillers before coming back to set the building on fire.

Police said the pharmacy owner walked through the store after the fire Monday and noticed a large supply of Oxycodone, a powerful pain medicine, missing.

Police said the pharmacy's security cameras somehow made it through the fire still functional, so they were able to review the footage. The surveillance, police said, showed someone breaking into the pharmacy, stealing the pills, then returning hours later to set the fire.

Police said they do not have a suspect right now, but they are looking at several "persons of interest."

Police said the investigation will likely be a lengthy one, with several agencies now joining the effort.
