One man in critical condition after north Tulsa shooting; police investigating as a homicide

Police are investigating a shooting in north Tulsa.

Tulsa police responded to a call just before 7:30 p.m. in the area of Apache and North Marion Ave.

According to EMSA, a 18-year-old has been transported to St. John's Hospital in critical condition.

Although the victim is still alive, Tulsa police are investigating the shooting as a homicide.

Homicide Sergeant David Walker said it does not look good for the victim.

Police said a fight happened in the parking lot of Apache Manor Housing Complex on the 3600 block of East Young, and the victim was shot at least once.

Investigators believe the victim and suspect knew each other. After the shooting the suspect fled the scene, detectives said.

The suspect is described as a black male under the age of 25. He has a clean cut, fade-type haircut and was last scene wearing a jersey-type shirt.

Tulsa police are searching the area.
