Store employee cited for reckless discharge of firearm after encounter with thief

TULSA -- Tulsa police are investigating Wednesday after shots were fired at a shop near downtown during a burglary.

Police said a person stole a Yeti Cooler from The Gadget Company, near 1500 South Boston, when a store employee confronted him and fired shots. 

Police are looking for the thief, who left the scene in a vehicle. Police said the employee fired shots "at or near" the suspect's vehicle.

No one was believed to be hurt in the incident. The store employee was cited for reckless discharge of a firearm, police said.
