Person of interest in homicide of man found near Midtown creek arrested

TULSA - Tulsa police have apprehended a person of interest in the homicide of a man found near a Midtown creek.

Joseph Richard Hermosillo, also known as Joker, was taken into custody at 12:45 a.m. Sunday after officers received a tip that Hermosillo was at El Imperio Norteno, a nightclub near at 9300 E. 46th St.  Police say customers were able to delay Hermosillo from leaving until officers arrived.  He was taken into custody without incident.

Hermosillo was named a person of interest in the homicide of Donnie Fitzpatrick, whose body was found Jan. 14 near a creek in the 5800 block of East 15th Street.  Police said Fitzpatrick died from multiple gunshot wounds.

Police say Hermosillo, who is currently on parole, removed his ankle monitor upon learning he was a person of interest, violating his parole.

Hermosillo is currently being held without bond in the Tulsa County Jail while he awaits a hearing Feb. 7 regarding the parole violation.

Authorities are still searching for a second person of interest, Jose Robledo, also known as Dreamer.

Robledo is known to drive a black 2008 Chrysler 300 four-door sedan with an Oklahoma tag number 601-DDX.

Anyone with information regarding Robledo's whereabouts is encouraged to call Crime Stoppers at 596-COPS.
