Walgreen's robbery suspect leads Owasso police on chase; suspect believed to be armed

OWASSO, Okla. - Police are searching for the suspect in an afternoon robbery at an Owasso Walgreen's.

Monday at 1:30 p.m. officers responded to the pharmacy on East 86th Street North after a man was reported demanding Lortabs.

Police then initiated a pursuit with the suspect but lost sight of his vehicle near 136th Street North and North Harvard.

Owasso police recovered the vehicle of the suspect around 4:15 p.m.

It was located near 56th and Cincinnati; the suspect was not found with the vehicle.

The suspect's vehicle is described as a black Toyota SUV, possibly a RAV4, with extensive front-end damage.

According to police, the suspect was "driving through every intersection" and for the safety of others they were not able to follow.

One witness described the scene:

"It was like Grand Central Station around here. I've been trying to mow all afternoon and there has been police everywhere, K9 units, helicopters. I could hear it over the mower, they're just buzzing everywhere," said Vickie Glaze.

The suspect is described as an adult male wearing a purple Spandex body suit. He was armed with a dark-colored handgun.
