One killed, another in critical condition after two vehicle-collision near 76th St. North, Memorial

OWASSO, Okla. -- A woman is dead and one person is in serious condition after a two-vehicle collision near 76th Street North and Memorial in Owasso Friday night.

Oklahoma Highway Patrol says Anika L. Miles, 41 was traveling in the wrong direction when she hit another vehicle head on.

Miles was pinned inside her vehicle for about one and 45 minutes, OHP said, and was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver of the second vehicle was pinned in the car for about 15 minutes and transported to St. John Hospital in critical condition.

There were no other passengers.

OHP says neither driver was wearing a seatbelt. It was also raining at the time of the incident.
