OSBI: Former Bristow teacher, Christopher Bivins, arrested after having sexual contact with student

BRISTOW, Okla. - A high school teacher in Bristow resigned shortly before he was arrested for sexual contact with a student.

Christopher B. Bivins, 24, was taken into custody Wednesday by the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation following a request by the Bristow Police Department and Creek County District Attorney's Office.

Bivins was arrested for second degree rape, sexual battery, possession of child pornography, production of child pornography, and violation of the Oklahoma Computer Crimes Act.

According to the OSBI, Bivins resigned from the Bristow Public Schools District a few hours before he was arrested.
