OSBI continues case of 2 girls found shot to death on rural Weleetka road

WELEETKA, Okla. - It's been three years since two girls were shot to death on a dirt road near Weleetka, and the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation continues to search for suspects.

The bodies of 13-year-old Taylor Paschal-Placker and 11-year-old Skyla Jade Whitaker were found June 8, 2008.

They had been shot 13 times with two guns as they walked on a rural road near Weleetka.

In late 2010, the FBI developed a profile of the killer or killers which the OSBI says has generated new leads.

Weleetka residents say they are confident that someone knows something about the case that could lead to an arrest.

"I know that somebody is going to make a mistake one of these days because they are going to speak up, and brag about it. We know they are still out there and these people need to come to justice," said Weleetka Resident Gary Ogle.

If you have any information that could lead to an arrest, you are asked to call the OSBI Tip Line at 1-800-522-8017.
