A man is dead after being hit by a car in north Tulsa Tuesday.
Highway patrol troopers were dispatched to the scene around 6 p.m. Troopers say the driver was entering I-244 from Delaware Avenue.
Officials are working to find out why the man was walking in such a dangerous spot.
Troopers say the accident should serve as a warning to other drivers. The investigation is ongoing but the man who hit the victim is not likely to face charges.
The victim's name will not be released until his family is notified.
