TULSA - A deadly state trooper-involved shooting over the weekend remains under investigation as the Oklahoma Highway Patrol releases the identities of those involved.
OHP spokesman Capt. George Brown says 33-year-old Tel Levi Rodgers, of Claremore, was shot and killed by 28-year-old Trooper Bobby Raines, of Sapulpa, Saturday night.
Investigators at the scene said Raines attempted a traffic stop near 61st Street and 32nd West Avenue but Rodgers fled the vehicle, leaving three children in the car when he ran.

Raines followed Rodgers and a struggle ensued. Investigators on the scene said Rodgers attempted to grab Raines' gun but Raines shot him twice.
Rodgers was pronounced dead at the scene.
Raines, who has been a member of the OHP for a year and a half, is on routine administrative leave pending the outcome of the investigation.
