TULSA - State troopers are cracking down on drunk drivers.
This weekend the Oklahoma Highway Patrol is setting up checkpoints, targeting Tulsa County offenders along I-244, I-44, Highway 169, Highway 75 and the downtown Tulsa Inner Dispersal Loop.
OHP Capt. Jerry Reagan says the crackdown coincides with prom season.
"Our goal is to be extremely visible, target DUI offenders and prevent highway tragedies, which too often occur this tie of year," said Reagan.
Troopers will set up checkpoints Saturday, April 27 from 7 p.m. until 3 a.m. and watch for drivers under the influence, aggressive and inattentive as well as other violators.
