TULSA -- This morning, 18 people are in custody after an overnight Oklahoma Highway Patrol DUI enforcement crackdown,
Troopers ramped up enforcement in the Tulsa metro area, beginning Friday at 7 ap.m. and ending at 3 Saturday morning.
During that time, 13 people were arrested for drunk driving, five others for drug possession.
Saturation patrols primarily focused on high-collision areas, primarily Tulsa highways and interstates.
According to OHP, extra enforcement stings like this one are aimed at reducing deadly traffic accidents.
