NORMAN, Okla. - As the well-documented Penn State scandal continues to unfold, many high profile coaches have been asked this week for a comment.
Oklahoma's Bob Stoops is no exception.
During his weekly press conference on Tuesday, the OU head coach was asked about his thoughts on the ongoing situation in State College that ultimately led to the dismissal of Joe Paterno.
"Children should be protected at all costs," said Stoops. "If any of it is true it is absolutely horrific and if anyone could have done anything about it, and I say if, if someone could have done something about it and knew then it is also horrific."
Stoops wouldn't comment much further saying "it's just not right" for him to say anything more.
