OKLAHOMA CITY - A 5-year-old Oklahoma City boy who was forced to turn his University of Michigan T-shirt inside out at school last week was given a surprise by his favorite team.
Administrators say Cooper Barton's shirt violated the schools dress code, which bans all clothing with college logos other than Oklahoma schools.
Barton's mother, Shannon Barton, said the principal asked her son to turn his shirt outward. She says he changed behind a tree on the playground.
The district now says it will review the dress code.
Meanwhile, Michigan's athletic director is rewarding the young fan's devotion to his team.
The Detroit News reports Cooper and his family have been invited to a Michigan football game this season. He'll be given a special shirt to wear -- one that proudly displays the university's logo even inside out.
