SAND SPRINGS, Okla. - Osage County Sheriff investigators are trying to figure out what lead to a shooting that sent a man to the hospital with a gunshot wound to the head.
Chief Criminal Investigator Charlie Cartwright said the call came in around 7:30 Monday night about a male shot in the head. Crews who arrived first on scene tried to render aid while a helicopter arrived.
The victim was taken to a Tulsa hospital where he is in intensive care in critical condition.
Cartwright said the investigation shows "the disturbance started as a domestic situation, which escalated."
Investigators served a search warrant at the home located on the 3200 block of North 197th East Ave.
