TULSA - Some aspiring architects displayed their talents in a gingerbread building competition.
This was not an ordinary gingerbread house competition. The rules require that the exhibit be a scale model of an architecturally significant home or building.
"The gingerbread house exhibit should look like an architectural model of a home but done in the gingerbread style," said Xan Black with Tulsa Alliance for Engineering, a sponsor for the competition.
"We want to inspire the next generation of engineers and architects with something fun," Black said.
The scale models were turned in last week. Winners were announced on Friday.
The gingerbread creations will be on display through Dec. 12 at the WaterWorks Art Center.
