TULSA - Seven people were forced from their home overnight by a garage fire.
Fire crews responded to a home near 17th and 137th East Avenue around 11:30 p.m. Monday.
Officials say the flames started in the garage.
Firefighters were able to keep the blaze from reaching the home; however, there were high levels of carbon dioxide inside the house, forcing two adults and five teenagers who live there to find somewhere else to stay.
Red Cross volunteers provided assistance to the family.
No one was injured.
Fire crews say the flames caused $5,000 to $10,000 in damage to the garage.
The cause remains under investigation.
