The reward for information leading to the arrest of Alex Bridges Deaton has increased to $27,500.

There's a nationwide manhunt for murder suspect 28-year-old Alex Bridges Deaton who's accused of killing his girlfriend. Authorities confirmed Deaton was in Tulsa Saturday morning.

"We don't know which way he's gone," since Saturday said Bryan Bailey of the Rankin County Sheriff's Department during press conference Monday morning.

"We believe this is a very dangerous individual," said Bailey.

The Rankin County Sheriff's Department in Brandon, Mississippi said Deaton might be driving the victim's white 2012 GMC Acadia with tag number F396NF. This is a stock photo of a GMC Acadia.

On February 24 around 4:20 p.m. the Rankin County Sheriff's Department in Brandon, Mississippi received a request to do a welfare check at Vineyards Apartments near Castlewoods Blvd. A deputy found Deaton's 30-year-old girlfriend, Heather Robinson, dead inside the apartment.

Sheriff Bailey confirms Robinson's cause of death was strangulation. Deaton is being sought in connection to her missing SUV, missing phone and the suspicious circumstances surrounding her death.

He has also been linked to a shooting that same day hours before the welfare check. Deputies responded to a 911 call about a shooting at Castlewoods Boulevard around 5 a.m. A woman stated that she had been shot in the thigh while she was jogging.

During the investigation, the victim stated that a man with facial hair driving a small white SUV shot her from his driver's window. Because of Deaton's physical description, the description of the SUV, the proximity of the two incidents and physical evidence collected at the shooting, Deaton is a suspect in both incidents.

Deaton is linked to a third incident about 70 miles from Rankin County in rural Neshoba County. The sheriff's office said Deaton is a "person of interest" in the killing of 69-year-old Brenda Pinter. On February 23, the Neshoba County Sheriff's Office found Pinter shot inside a baptist church.

The Mississippi Bureau of Investigation said Deaton should be considered armed and dangerous. If you come in contact with him, don't engage with him and call 911.

Crime Stoppers is offering a $2,500 reward for information that leads to Deaton's arrest.
