Teen apprehended in Muskogee homicide

MUSKOGEE, Okla. - Muskogee police apprehended a homicide suspect Friday.

Eighteen-year-old John Cone was booked into the Muskogee County jail on a firs-degree murder complaint without bond.

Investigators say a 26-year-old Skyler Brewer was shot and killed near 21st and Broadway Thursday.

They say an altercation earlier in the evening led to the shooting.

A second person of interest was initially named. Twenty-eight-year-old Tenesha Nunley has since ruled her out as a person of interest.
