Muskogee police make arrest in 1st homicide of 2014 after Wednesday night shooting

MUSKOGEE, Okla. - A shooting Wednesday night in Muskogee marked the city's first homicide of the year.

Officers responded to a home near 200 E. Hancock at 11:59 p.m. in reference to shots fired.

Upon arrival police found 30-year-old Richard Kosterlizky dead inside the home.

Police believe he was shot by 18-year-old Justin Capps, who was still inside the home when police arrived.

Police say there was some type of ongoing dispute between the victim and the suspect.

Capps has been charged with first-degree murder.
