The map on this page (click on it for a larger image) shows the 96 hour rainfall totals for Oklahoma. Much welcomed rain fell across the state over the last four days from October 7 through October 10, 2011.

The heaviest rain fell where it was needed most in western and central Oklahoma. 3-4" amounts were common near and west of Oklahoma City. Back in Green Country, 0.49" is the official total for Tulsa recorded at the International Airport. Totals over 1" were reported just west of Tulsa in Creek county.

Tulsa has received 23.7" inches of rain this year which is 9" below normal.

Looking ahead in the forecast, our next chance for rain will be on Wednesday. Drier weather will follow toward the upcoming weekend.

The long term forecast for Fall suggests drier than normal conditions to persist.
