A midtown Tulsa house went up in flames overnight.
It happened just before 2 a.m. near 35th and Sheridan.
Officials say a neighbor heard an explosion and when firefighters arrived they saw heavy smoke and flames in the front of the house.
Crews entered the home from the back but the heat forced them out.
Officials say firefighters had trouble getting the power turned off, which slowed them down.
The home was destroyed.
The resident wasn't home at the time of the fire.
The cause has not yet been determined.
