TULSA - Fire crews fought a house fire near 43rd Street and South Peoria around 9:30 p.m. Saturday.
Firefighters began attacking the fire from inside the house, but officials on the scene say it became too dangerous. They were able to get the flames under control from outside the home.
Officials say no one was inside when the fire started, and the home has been empty for some time.
"Anytime we have a house that's unoccupied for a couple of months that catches fire it is going to be a suspicious fire until our investigators get through," said Tulsa Fire Department District Chief Dale Cooley.
An investigation into what started the fire is underway.
