TULSA, Okla - Memorial High School's baseball team is back in the swing of things following the theft of thousands of dollars worth of equipment .
After 2NEWS viewers saw the story about the Memorial Chargers' unfortunate incident, alumni, business owners and community members reached out to help .
The team needed $5,000 to replace the stolen cleats, gloves and bats.
So far they have received more than $7,000 according to Coach Steven Irvin.
"Thank you, thank you, thank you," he said to the community.
The additional money will be used to buy surveillance equipment for the team's locker room so this doesn't happen again.
