Mayes and Rogers County authorities report fiber optic line restored

MAYES COUNTY, Okla. - Authorities report fiber optic line restored after temporarily being out of service.

A fiber optic line was cut down Monday affecting 911 services in Claremore and Pryor as well as Mayes County, according to a Mayes County spokesperson.

Authorities advised residents seeking emergency assistance to go to the nearest police department or fire station.

The brake in the line could have caused issues with long distance phone calls to the 911 system.
