PD: Man wears stolen police badge, demands cheap tan

JENKS, Okla. - Police say they arrested a Tulsa man after he demanded a discount at a tanning salon while wearing a stolen police badge just before 2 p.m. Saturday.

Officers say the store manager of At the Beach tanning salon in Jenks called police after 25-year-old Dustin Bell demanded a $34 spray tan for $10 while wearing a stolen Sand Springs Police badge attached to his sweater.

The manager told police he noticed a bottle of lotion missing from the counter when he returned from calling the police.

A detective with the Sand Springs Police Department said his wallet had been stolen on Thursday.

Officers say they found a Sam's Club card while Bell was being booked into the Jenks jail.

Bell was booked into the Tulsa County jail on charges of possession of stolen property, petit larceny and impersonating a police officer.
