Man stabbed with machete in midtown Tulsa dispute; one person arrested on assault complaints

TULSA - A man is recovering in the hospital after being stabbed with a machete early Sunday morning in a roommate dispute.

Police received the call to Bradford Creek Apartments, 3171 South 108th East Ave., at 4:15 a.m.

A male resident was at home when his roommate arrived with friends, police told 2NEWS.

The man became upset when the roommate began eating his food.

The two got into an altercation, and the suspect grabbed a machete and struck one of the men.

The victim was transported to a local hospital with non-life threatening wounds to the hands. Police say the wounds were defensive in nature.

The suspect left the apartment, but was later located at a relative’s residence in the same complex.

He was arrested on complaints of assault with a deadly weapon.

The suspect’s name has yet to be released.
