Man lying on street hit by car on Highway 75 in Tulsa, transported to hospital in stable condition

TULSA - A man is in the hospital after getting hit by a car.

Police say Douglas Ray Pittman, 42, of Collinsville, was lying in the middle of the road when a car hit him.

The driver, 49-year-old Wade Dorsey, of Broken Arrow, was heading south on Highway 75 when he saw a vehicle with hazard lights activated on the shoulder of the road.  Dorsey moved to the inside lane, and that is when he hit Pittman. 

Pittman was transported by EMSA to a local hospital with head and leg injuries.  At last check, he was in stable condition.

Police say the Pittman seemed to be intoxicated.
