Man arrested in Cherokee County undercover sting

CHEROKEE COUNTY, Okla. - A Tahlequah man was arrested Saturday during an undercover operation targeting suspected child predators.

Donald Lee Paden, 23, was arrested for attempting to meet an underage girl who he met online at a Cherokee County home.

Investigators say he discussed sex and condoms to who he thought was a 14-year-old girl on a social networking website "Meet Me." 

For more than two months, Paden was communicating with undercover detectives from the District 27 task force and the Cherokee County Sheriff's Office.

Paden was jailed on a lewd acts and/or indecent proposal to a minor complaint.

In 2005, Paden plead guilty to a lewd molestation charge. He completed a treatment program at the Rader Institute in 2008, court records show.
