Police arrested a man accused of drinking and driving with four kids in his car in west Tulsa Saturday night.

Officers say they stopped a white Chevrolet Caprice around 9:30 p.m. after they saw it cross the center line twice on West 41st Street.

Police say the driver, David Jones, was unsteady on his feet and smelled of alcohol. They say he also had four children in the car, including one that was not secured in a car seat or booster seat.

Officers say Jones told them he was on his way to Red Lobster to eat with the children’s mother.

According to an arrest report, Jones “laughed continuously” during the sobriety tests and told police he was “going to bond out and drink some more” after being arrested.

Police say the children’s mother came to the scene and took custody of the kids.

Jones was booked into the Tulsa County Jail for multiple charges, including DUI, driving left of center and four counts of child endangerment. He was released on bond Sunday morning.
