40-year-old Stephen Maples is currently in the Tulsa County Jail on multiple charges including eluding and driving with a suspended license.
It all started last night a little after 11 - when police tried to stop maples in a blue green Ford Ranger on Tecumseh Street.
According to the police report, Maples ignored lights and sirens - blowing through stop signs.
The truck came to a dead end - and Maples reportedly jumped out of the pickup and started running.
After a brief foot chase, he gave up.
Police at the scene told us the truck maples was driving was stolen - however he has not yet been charged.
Jail records show maples is scheduled to appear in a court a week from today.
