Luke Russell: Jenks man just released from Tulsa County Jail re-arrested in lobby for molestation

TULSA - A Jenks man was arrested Sunday, just an hour and a half after he was released from the jail, for lewd molestation of a minor under the age of 16 -- an incident deputies say happened in the jail lobby.

Luke Russell, 23, was jailed Feb. 1 for public intoxication. The next day, he was released at 12:47 p.m.

By 1:20 p.m. Russell was back in handcuffs after a young jail visitor reported him for groping her.

According to Russell's arrest report, the victim and her mother were at the Tulsa County Jail to visit the victim's father. As they waited in the lobby, Russell sat beside her, "then touched and squeezed her butt," according to the report.

The arresting officer wrote in Russell's arrest report, the victim jumped up and went to the other side of the room "looking very scared," according to a witness. The victim told her mother, who reported the incident to an officer.

Russell was booked back into the jail a short time later on $100,000 bond.
