Law enforcement keeping a close watch over Tulsa State Fair

TULSA, Okla. - About 100 Tulsa County Sheriff Deputies will be on the grounds at the Tulsa State Fair during its busiest days.

Major Shannon Clark says there are uniformed and undercover deputies on the grounds at all times. Clark says they are looking to prevent gang activity and keep the fair a family safe place.

So far no problems have been reported in recent days and Clark says there have been no major issues in recent years. He adds Tulsa's fair is considered one of the safest in the nation.

In addition to deputies, FBI and ICE agents are working the grounds, as well as officers checking for underage drinking.

Outside the gate Tulsa Police Officers are keeping a watch over vehicles and traffic.

Clark wants families to feel safe at all times but he urges them to "See something, Say something," if they notice suspicious activity around the fairground.
