TULSA - A man who was involved in an altercation with a state trooper early Tuesday morning is now behind bars.
Kermit Farrish, 33, was stopped by an Oklahoma Highway Patrol trooper around 1 a.m. Tuesday near 11th and Garnett for expired tags.
Investigators say Farrish yelled for his passenger to run and reached for the trooper's weapon. During the tussle, Farrish was shot in the leg.

Farrish fled to a nearby motel where he was taken to a local hospital for treatment. He was booked into the Tulsa County Jail Wednesday for assault and battery on a law enforcement officer.
OHP officials identified the trooper Wednesday as 29-year-old Shiloh Hall, who graduated from the OHP Academy in 2007.
Hall was placed on routine paid administrative leave pending the outcome of the investigation.
