Judge denies bond reduction for pastor charged with six counts of lewd molestation against teen

A request for bond reduction has been denied for a Tulsa pastor charged with six counts of lewd molestation against a teen girl .

A Tulsa judge denied reducing the bond for Damien Keith Bonner, 32, who was arrested May 14 after a 15-year-old female told police she had been sexually abused by a man she met at church.

Bonner is the pastor of Galilee Baptist Church in Tulsa.

The pastor’s family and supporters showed up at Tulsa County Courthouse Friday afternoon. Bonner was not brought to the court room from the jail.

Last month, the victim’s mother met with Owasso police and said her daughter had been involved in a sexual relationship with Bonner since she was 14 years old.

The teen told police while staying the night at Bonner’s Tulsa home with his two children, he came into the room and took her back to his room to have sex with her, according to the arrest affidavit.  She said the incident happened again when Bonner moved to his Owasso apartment and again in the backseat of his vehicle.

The victim also said the two exchanged nude photos, and she was given the morning-after pill by the defendant.

He remains at the Tulsa County Jail on a $300,000 bond.
